additional details about these changes.
A map of the proposed attendance boundaries, including current student numbers in each zone, is available at this link: [https://go.hidoe.us/centralmaui-redistricting] for your review.
Exemption Policy for current students: We recognize that some students may already be established at
your current schools. Therefore, we will be implementing an exemption policy to allow for currently enrolled
students. If your child currently attends Puʻu Kukui, Pōmaikaʻi, ʻĪao Maui Waena, Maui High, or Baldwin
and would be affected by the redistricting, you will have the option to allow your child to remain at the
current school until they complete 5th, 8th, or 12th grade, or you may choose to enroll them at their newly
assigned school. Please note: Students attending their current schools under an exemption to the new
attendance boundaries will not be eligible for school bus services.
Questions and Concerns: To prepare us for the meeting and ensure we address your concerns, please
submit your questions via this link: [https://go.hidoe.us/centralmaui-questions]. We will do our best to
address all submitted questions during the meeting.
We understand that redistricting can be a sensitive issue, and we are committed to open communication and
transparency throughout this process. We value your input and look forward to discussing this matter with
you at the upcoming meeting.
